About Cot Cottage
Unique self-catering cottage in the Dumfries & Galloway countryside
with an outdoor hot tub, unspoilt views and contemporary design
Cot Cottage is set in eleven acres of peaceful countryside with a private loch and un-spoilt grounds. There is abundant wildlife and plenty of activities, with stunning walks and cycle rides straight from the door. Kirkcudbright is less than 10 minutes drive and Castle Douglas can be reached in 15 minutes.
The contemporary cottage has been built with style, comfort and open plan living in mind. Retaining a traditional cottage style on the outside, the interior offers luxury surprises.
Originally called Pulnachie, the cottage was built pre 1850. In the early 1900s the name was changed to Edgarton Cot house and was used as a Cot House up until the 1960s and then went on to become the holiday home for the owner of Edgarton. After this the cottage fell into disrepair with a collapsed roof. The cottage was then bought by the current owners in 2003 and planning permission was granted to convert the building to the beautiful holiday cottage that stands on the grounds today.
A stay at Cot Cottage is ideal for those who enjoy being active outdoors and want to return to luxury, comfort and tranquillity. Equally, there is the space and facilities for guests who wish to relax, escape and unwind from everyday life.
