By car: From Dumfries drive along the A75 towards Stranraer past Castle Douglas. Continue on the A75 until you reach the village of Ringford. Turn right into the village then take the first left signposted A762 New Galloway Laurieston. Continue on the A762 for 3.3 miles until you reach a large telephone pole on the left signposted ‘Edgarton’. Take the gravel road next to the signpost and continue on this single track road for a quarter of a mile. At the T junction turn left through the farm then bear right through a gateway. You will see Cot Cottage on the hill in front of you.
